PVDF microporous  membranes are a kind of film with high throughput, low pressure drop and corrosion-resistant characteristics that can effectively filter liquid and gas in order to achieve emission standards compliant with environmental regulations. Compared with PES microporous , their smaller pore size makes it more suitable for filtering out minute particles such as bacteria, viruses, proteins, etc.; its preparation methods mainly include wet casting and dry coating methods, among which wet casting method is the most commonly used one. It has been reported that PVDF microporous membranes have widely applied fields such as water purification, wastewater treatment, air purification and so on. For example, they can efficiently remove organic pollutants from wastewater while retaining beneficial components in them; or remove microorganisms and viruses from air and retain useful negative ion contents in them. Their excellent performance makes it become an essential support for environmental protection.
